Floor events are something that will never cease to surprise me.
They are something that no amount of preparation, advertising or guessing will really prepare you to completely predict.
Tonight was the Floor Coffee house that I spent the past month working to create…I sent out emails….
purchased food,
Made Facebook Invitations
Made personal invitations
Put coffee beans in the community bathroom,
And begged God that my residents would actually show up…
And Shockingly…the event actually happened.
23 out of 29 of my residents actually showed up!
The night was awesome, there were tons of delicious treats, more Hot Chocolate than my girls possibly needed, and we had a wonderful time!
I was also excited by the number of girls who shared something at the open mic.
We had everything from rap songs, to Disney song with new lyrics about ponys who want to attend dentistry school.
It helped so much with the community on my floor, and I am still excited about it!!!
