Just For Fun

Since our original plan fort the event this month was postponed, and I had to quickly come up with a new idea, I decided to have some fun with it.

First, let me describe the event for the month...

It will be a standard Gainey-style movie morning....this means breakfast and a movie in our lobby. Nope--not the most creative idea in the world, but comfortable and familiar are also valuable. We have been doing this type of event since the building opened a few years ago, and the residents know what to expect-and they like it!!!

For this particular event, we will be doing Christmas activities (such as decorating Christmas ornaments) and eating cinnamon rolls.

The best part of this event is the fact that our movie is "It's a wonderful Life" (The Classic Christmas flick)

I decided to brand this event based on that movie...

If you look carefully, at the poster, you can see that seven of the faces in the move are replaced with the faces of the staff members in our building. I thought that this would be amusing to the target attendees of this event(the residents in this building) and that it would be something entertaining for me to work on as well. No...not all of the fits in this picture are perfect, if I had had more time, I would have taken pictures specifically for this poster. As, I only had a few hours to create it...I used Facebook images and a lot of Photoshop tweaking.

To further advertise for this event, I created a Facebook page for it...

I will also be putting a personal invitation on every door, with the hope of further emphasizing the time and date.
